First roll from my "new" Yashica

£10.40 for a Yashica J from EBay, in lovely condition. iPhone photo of it in action below (sorry about the wonky horizon), just after using the truly wonderful clockwork self timer!

I've had a load of fun and a few problems. First roll of Vista 200 has a couple of nice shots, with my favourite below; I'm still getting used to the focusing so not spot on, but I love the film feel . I've been surprised how forgiving the exposure is; not one was off, despite the limited speed and aperture range, and despite never really working in manual before:

I shot a second roll, which should have had some great shots, but realised at shot 30 out of 24 that I hadn't loaded it properly so it hadn't been winding! Oh well, good practice.

However, I have a light leak. It doesn't show up on every frame, just about 5 of them. Any ideas where to start with sorting this out?:

Your light leak should be a simple fix. It will often show up on frames where you haven't taken a shot for a little while or left the camera sitting in the sun. Jon Goodman, a member on here, does seals for most cameras and its a simple job. Drop him an email JGood21967@aol.com I'm sure he'll be able to help you out.

Intermittent light leaks are the worse and it becomes expensive trying to solve them using up film...the first thing it to check all the seals around doors etc and if that doesn't work then it's a process of elimination by taping up parts of the camera (if you tape everything you wouldn't know what part of the camera is letting in light).
On one camera I had, I replaced all the seals but now and again a shot was ruined, I was so annoyed that I couldn't easily solve the leak, I broke the camera up for spares screws.

Thanks for the replies guys. Nick, that makes perfect sense, as there were time gaps between shots, and before the shot above, the camera had been sitting in the sun for a while.
