Yes
Just had two rolls of film developed from Film Dev. First few images all have the film perforations visible on the images.

Image. What could cause this?

Light leak on take up reel side - if you look at negatives will get a better idea which side (top or bottom) the leak is - remember pictures inverted top to bottom in camera.

Looks like the film wasn't square, not seated correctly, probably slipped in to place as you wound it on over a few frames..:)

Just seems to be the first few pictures, hopefully Joxby is right here. Thanks both.

I think David's more likely to be right than John... I also thought at first that the film had slipped, but if so there would be no image where the "perforations" are. However, there is an image, overlaid with a "redscale" type image of the perforations, so I too think that light is coming in at the back of the film.

Light leak effects tend to vary with the light conditions, and with the length of time the film stays on one frame (as opposed to several shots in quick succession).

OTOH I may well be wrong, too!

If the film was wound on properly, any light leak would just be a colour flash across the image. For the light leak to produce an image of the sprocket holes over the image, the sprocket holes must actually have been overlaying the image part if the film. That means that the film was skewiff while the light was leaking in.

Definitely a light leak, though, perhaps caused by the film not sitting in the film gate properly, stopping the back from seating as it should. If the problem was just the first few frames, it would suggest that the film seated itself as it was wound on.

John, I think you're probably right. I did have a bit of a problem getting the film in. The camera was an Olympus 35RC.

Well it could still be a light leak, it gets in from anywhere, at all sorts of daft angles and depending on how the camera is stored between shoots, a leak could easily produce that effect.
The wonky film thing is just another stab in the dark, it looks possible if only for the way it sorta tapers on that frame, maybe there are other frames with a gradual slide back to seated, I dunno.
You could check the seals, if they're ok just take care when loading and shoot another roll, see what happens...:)
