So I have a photo which features a well known building. I've sent an email to the manager along with a watermarked low-res photo to the owners asking if they would be happy to sign a property release so I can use the photo freely. They have replied saying they are more than happy too, but would I consider emailing them a hires of the photo for their archives and possible future use.

Do you think I should put a reasonable watermark (clear but not intrusive) in one of the lower corners of the photo I send to them and ask for a credit and link to my website if they use it in any of their printed or electronic media?

Also, is there a preferred freely available template someone could link me to, I have found one but wanted to see if there is a better one available.
Cheers,
Greg

Sorry to bump my own thread up.
I've got the release form sorted now but have a question about my photo.
As the owner has signed a property release form, but has requested a copy of the original photo, should I watermark one of the corners or do you think asking for a credit, if the photo is ever used by them, would suffice given that they have let me use the photo?

Thanks,

It might be helpful to know whet you are. As far as I am aware they us no requirement for a building release in the UK. Indeed it is highly likely that the occupants don't actually own the building anyway to authorise such a release anyway.
