I'm slowly clearing out unused stuff via ebay. One problem is quickly producing shots to an acceptable standard. I mostly use a spare bedroom using daylight with the addition of a white sheet as a reflector. This works after a fashion, but having to deal with the varying light quality is annoying. I don't have any lighting or stands at the moment so will be starting from scratch.

I am a bit dubious about the ebay specials and studio flash might be a bit bulky and OTT for a spare bedroom so I was thinking of 2 or maybe 3 Yongnua 460/560II and a light tent or diffusers.

Is that a reasonable starting point or should I consider studio flash or continuous lighting.

My view FWIW is that if you're selling second hand gear on fleabay as a private seller then, as long as the shots are clear and show both the faults and the benefits, 'good' lighting can actually be a disadvantage, and that you'd be better off making do with what you have than spending money on any kind of lighting kit, unless of course you also want it for something else...

But the opposite is true if you're selling products commercially.

Thanks for the reply.

It's mainly the time I spend dealing the variable light that I find is the problem. I can produce reasonably clear shots, but each time it I have to start from scratch. I'm really looking for something to speed things up a little.
