Some of my photos went on sale in the browser section of my local photography shop.
No commision as he did the mounting on each photo. Still only stand me at a couple of quid.
Got to start somewhere.
Oddly, he loves a photo of mine i kinda hate. I'm currently having it put onto convas for my gf, and hes really intrested in seeing it, and maybe selling it.

Thats excellent, well done. Let us know how you get on. :D

good luck with the sales

Cheers for the good lucks!
When i was there yesterdayi took a memory card with some images on that i wasn't majourly fussed about, but he really liked one i had of a local well known object.
He asked if i could get it printed at 32x12" i popped home, and ordered a print, the options were 30x20, so i knocked the images down to 30x10 and had 2 printed on one paper.
They were on my doorstep today! Impressive. Took em in and hes 98% sure they'll sell, I explained i cant afford to have em framed at the mo. He didn't mind said he'd sort it and take commision, which i'm fine with. I just want to get abit known and people have an interest. Not to make oodles of cash. tbh my work isn't good enough to make money lol

Got told by a chap at work today that they'd walked past and my work was in the window for a nice price.
Chuffed!

If you know how you can improve, then take the right (and affordable) steps to get better. But if peeps want to buy your stuff, then your work is good enough. There's no accounting for taste and we can disappear up our own jacksies with analysing our work with our developed tastes when the customer is only really looking for something as simple and obvious as a smile on the face of their child.

Well done for delivering the work quickly, rather than just thinking about getting it done for a few days.

With normal retail markups you should be getting between 3/4 and half the shop's price if you are supplying the item as-sold. You can either charge a premium for images of local interest or cut your price in the knowledge that there'll be a good demand for them, so that customers are more likely to buy your work instead of the alternatives.
