First ND filter Help

Hi,
My first post here, been looking at Haida filters, is keen on vari ND pro II slim, anyone has good results with it? I am using their ND it's good but not sure about VND compared to others.

Vari-NDs are not good with wide-angles. At higher densities, a dark cross pattern appears across the image.

Thanks, just concerned if Haida VND would be like those cheaper ones that has cross banding at <5 stops with UWA. Or perhaps even the expensive ones has that as well

They all do it, even the £300 ones. It's caused by the cross-polarising effect which is how they vary density.
