Hi Guys,

First post and I need some advice.

I'm off to Le Mans for the 24 hours next weekend, I'm not sure what to take and what to leave....I've never tried motorsport photography before but have been to the race a couple of times. I'm using Nikon Kit.

Should I take a tripod or a monopod? I'm thinking about the night time, trailing light shots etc

Should I pack both my D80 and my D90 so I'm not swapping lenses?

Which Lenses should I pack? I have a 50mm, 18-55mm VR, 18-70mm F3.5-4.5, a 55-200mm VR and a 70-300mm VR

How many batteries should I take??

Any help gratefully received!

cheers!

Short lenses are good if you get into Pit Lane,Long lenses for track action depending how close you get to the action.Monopod for Panning I wouldn`t take a tripod but if its mainly light trails then really the Tripod is a must.Batteries take several as its a 24hr race I would take at least 4 but how many pictures R U expecting to take?On my Canon batteries I can take about 2500 on each battery, and at the Le Man 24hr I would expect to take 6000 at least.
Hope this helps and have a good trip.
