Many friends have echoed your sentiments initially when switching from Windows to Mac. Because individuals have different skills and experiences, there are many ways to cross the line. People have already commented on the support given by Apple engineers in Apple retail stores. Some of my contacts have signed up for a year of one on one tuition when they found how good was the advice they received: but most don't need that level of hand-holding. A simple show and tell demo in an Apple store can be good enough to sort out this week's main questions!
If you can't get access to a local store, then use the Apple Communities at apple.com; and the Help menus which you have onscreen on your new MacBook Pro.
By the way: good choice!
