I've been asked to take some photos at my son's football match on Sunday, they want some shots for the end of season presentation and for next years calendar.
Not done this type of thing before, but excited about giving my new d7000 it's first proper outing - I'll be using the Nikon 70-300 VR lens, not the fastest so hope that the sun is out! (wish I had a 70-200 f2.8 )
I've been looking back at old posts on here for tips and advice - so thank you all (KIPAX in particular your shots are inspirational!).
My specific question is whether to us the lenses VR function? I'll be trying to keep my shutter speed between 1/500 and 1/1000, so does that negate the benefit of VR?
I have a monopod, but don't plan to use it as my kit is not that heavy, and these games are not very long.
Thanks all.
