I got the chance to see an alchemist in action last night at a local college. I got to see how the basics of developing a print from a negative works and it was absolutely bloody awesome!
Next week I'll get a chance to do my own print from one of my own negatives so I'm going to shoot a roll of B&W over the next few days and have a go at developing it at home for the first time and then hopefully have a nice neg I can take along
I think the enlargers we'll be using will be the Durst M370 though there's a De Vere in one corner of the darkroom that looks a fair bit larger (Possibly a 504?)
I'd never been in a darkroom before and found it all fascinating, even the design of the room so that it was light tight.
