hi all,i`m after my first flashgun but dont know where to start.
the main reason i want one if for water drop shots so i need to be able to use it off the camera body(sony A350).
i dont have alot of money to spend on one so i`v looked at the jessops 360 afd and the metz 20 c2 but cant see anything about if i can use them off the body with a lead of some sort or remote/slave.
if anyone knows of a similar unit that would be a good choice or have one of the about please let me know.
thanks chris.

If you are looking at the jessops flash, IMHO you'd be better off getting the Yongnuo YN 462. I think it has a new version which has built in slave.
The YN462 has adjustable power output as well. This flash can be used on/off camera.

The YN462 doesn't have an optical slave, the YN460-II however does and also offers more power and more adjustment of that power.

I'm not a great fan of optical triggers though and would recommend employing a set of wireless triggers such as the RF602 or YN-04-II instead, however because you have a Sony you'd also need a hotshoe adapter to allow the "normal" triggers to work with your camera, like so...

Thanks for that FITP.

To the op, I also highly recommend the RF602 radio triggers.
