First ever Facebook reprimand and got kicked off group page

As per title... an image that I posted in a closed Photographic group on Facebook which featured some nudity ( there has been plenty of others posted in the past), but I did cover up the private bits.......Some plank reported it as obscene :thinking:........ All of a sudden the group has kicked me out of the membership :bat: and blocked me....... I am not that bothered as I rarely participated in the group but what I do find weird is that the Admin didn't contact me regarding said image and try to discuss it but hey ho!!!! that is life..... :)
 
Will be sticking with good old talk photography for posting images in future....:D
 
I admin a group on facebook (UK Dragonflies & Damselflies) and I think that's very bad form not to message you about it and to be so draconian.

I think you are better off not being in that group and there are plenty others which I'm sure are less draconian.

I've been banned off here a couple of times and nobody ever bothered telling me why or discussing it with me. Seems to be the way of the world, safety behind the keyboard. Hey ho.

....If a Moderator/Admin hasn't the guts to tell you why you are banned or to issue a prior final warning, then they shouldn't be a Moderator/Admin in my opinion.

I agree (I have had warnings since) but I was never given a reason or warning as far as I recall, many years ago right enough. I'll have to misbehave again and see if I get an explanation this time :cool::)

Anyone that's warned or suspended,
always gets a message to say why.
 
I've recently started participating in a couple of groups on Facebook, to be honest one of a disadvantages I've come across is there isn't clear management of groups etc it isn't always clear on group rules especially when on an app, or who is responsible for the group, only a couple of days ago, I had a torrent of moaning PMs from someone who didnt like that I wasn't 100% complementary about one of his photos, the irony being I only raised one tiny issue and actually did say I liked the image :lol: :lol: in the end I got bored and just blocked the tool

Ironically I did have a similar experience on here the difference is the green team worked really well and dealt with the idiot
 
People even complain about non-nude shots on the FB Strobist group, so someone stated up a group specifically for more risque shots and some prude joined that group specifically to complain and got it shut down....quite pathetic tbh.

Worse than that, they could not come up with a reason when asked why the hell they let you back in again.:p
 
FB = a place where people, who are probably otherwise quite intelligent, go to spout and read pointless drivel.

I came back from a couple of weeks holiday away, and found I had been removed and banned from a local town news page, the admin is a local councillor, he removed me of his friends list (he asked me) and then blocked me, so i had no way of knowing why, then it turned out that he also blocked a family member and his friend too,

Never posted anything much on the board, but got banned for the others falling out over something trivial , nothing you can do about it either, as not fit to be admin or a councillor if thats how your play the game

no biggy, just vote against him in May:rolleyes:

Do you really think so, I could give you at least a 100 links on there of people making very good money advertising there business and keeping people up to date with all the latest news on their products. ;) Conversing with vendors from all around, Greece, USA, Germany, Italy, and China to name but a few.
 
Facebook has 2 sides...

1. Drivel from people (mainly female)

2. Feed from companies and people I work with.

Keep 1. to a minimum (block or unfollow), don't join in stupid arguments and it works fine

Yes that happens. In the same way that some young entrepreneurs can start a business in the school playground (some of them even NOT selling drugs).

The reason I refer to it as a playground is it seems to bring out the exuberant side in people. Lots of friends (some of them real), lots of cliques, lots of good natured banter and lots and lots of childish name calling, strops and bullying.

BTW I had a meeting with my PR agent yesterday - I keep telling her FB is the future but she maintains that all her local business is done on Twitter.

Oh I just remembered. Apparently I got thrown out of a FB group because I once walked past one of the members (who I had met once ever) and didn't say hello to him. He waited 5 months and then threw me out of the group as revenge (though didn't actually tell me or anybody). And I'm still not sure who it was.

So yeah, I think the playground thing is pretty fair.

there is always a ban reason and its always displayed to the user when they try and log in. Ive just had a look through the currently banned list and each and every one has a reason
 
STOP WAFFLING and just post the bloody photos .:runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway:
 
When it tells you you're banned/suspended, it tells you the reason. It may not be the most specific but it's always there.
 
I couldn't see it. That said I could log in no problem and see all the Forums but couldn't reply or comment on them. Couldn't log out on my PC after logging in tho. Had to switch the machine off and start again. A bit strange I thought.
 
There's some petty people out there that will moan about anything. I had a similar thing with a border collie page. The admin basically described a picture of a collie as being the wrong colour so I corrected her, in a nice way. Next thing I know I was getting reported for harassment, got sent hate mail from the admin along with being banned and blocked from the page. She was a proper physco lol

Now that you say that I got thinking, it wasn't to the point where she was threatening to stab me lol, more just mean messages because I apparently made her look stupid but it was still over the top for your normal "hey, don't do that" messages lol. If that makes any sense.
