Evening all,

I've recently followed my Dad in purchasing a Sony DSLR. I wound up with an Alpha 450.

My main hobby is Motorsport of the 4-wheeled variety (a friend and I share a Track-Car) - So most of my shooting happens at the trackside or in the Paddock.

To try and improve my chances of getting a half decent shot, I currently run 3 lenses plus the kit lens, with various levels of success. I have the standard Sony Kit-lens, a 300mm Sigma from the dawn of time, a 17-200mm Tamron and another Sigma - This time the 170-500mm.

Currently I have lots of toys, and no idea what the heck I'm doing with them! Hopefully you will not lose patience with me too quickly during my guaranteed noobie questions and slow learning!

Thanks all, Look foward to the advice! (and Mickey taking, general abuse and such...!)

Mike :)
