First car

Pearlescent Green Austin Mini B reg never made it to see the open road due to excessive rust cost £125.

So came the Black F reg Austin Mini for £500 then spent tons on money on it and enjoyed it completely, sold for £1100 to a friend who wrote it off.

OO that looks nasty - hope they were ok.

Yeah he was ok eventually, apparently the firemen who cut him out of it reckoned the rollcage and 4 point safety harnesses I had fitted saved his life.

Someone pulled out of a side road in front of him though i thik he was going a bit quicker than he should have been as well.

Bit gutted to see a lot of work and money get trashed, but such is life

The first car I drove after passing my test was a Toyota Corolla (E reg) which belonged to my ex. I then had a few lease cars via work (all Toyota's), so my current car is actually my very first car I have ever owned  It's a Toyota Yaris T Sport :)

There's just something I love about Toyotas :)

mines a bit newer..t reg nissan micra. Had it for about 4 years (trying to sell it currently), till i bought a lotus elise. (just a small step up from a micra).

:)

Just a little eh

there's does seem to be a pattern emerging :D

First one was a Vauxhall Nova, red, 1.2 and i loved it!

now drive a mini one in black and I'm not selling it to anyone PPP knows :D :D :D

PS I have only ever had two brand new cars, the Nova was one of them! was living with Mum and dad at the time, not been able to afford it since :(

My first car was a 520 BMW that I wrote off after 2 weeks and took out the front wall of the local pub in the process. (ahh those were the days)

My first car was an old Beetle that the local Polizie had put 250,000kms on the clock.

I've had - too many to recall - but I'm picking up my new Mini tomorrow :woot:

/edit - no, wait. Today's Tuesday. I'm picking it up on Thursday.

A battered 1982 Ford Escort estate, which ended up even more battered after I tried to launch it off of an embankment and into the flats that were behind it.......

A35 van, in blue C/W rear seats :D yes really I was the one

my first car was a **** brown (i believe russet is the colour) clubman estate mini.

it lasted 6months before i put it ontop of a hedge (yes not through, i suspended it COMPLETELY off the ground lengthways along a hedge). so i spent the next 2 years rebuilding it, quick engine, lower, arches, fancy paint (still brown though) and some nice wheels as well as a completely new front end from the windscreen forwards, i still have it

my true first car however is a p6 rover ive had in the garage since i was 12, its a lovely car and should be back on the road soon, do some road miles before attempting lemans next year :D

I knew I had a picture somewhere, My Dads Sierra in the background was like driving a tank, no power steering in those days, no power anything when I think of it

1988 Honda Accord Hatchback but I had it in 1997..... It had 180k miles on the clock but it was still ticking until about 5 years ago when the whole transmission fell out because the last pieces of rust gave way.... Honda's are good cars.

I passed my test first time on 11th December and haven't driven since  Think i will have forgotten 'how' by the time I own my first car

:woot: congratulations on passing your test! .... borrow someone elses car til you got plenty of practice!

1957 998cc Morris Minor 1000, complete with semaphore indicators but no split windscreen.

my cars in order.....

Renault 11 (never made it off the driveway)

Honda Civic (lovely)

Vauxhall Astra (big piece of junk)

BMW 5 series

Guess which is my favourite ;)

N Reg Fiat Cinquecento S (900cc) in Blue - Man I loved that car - drove it like i stole it for 13 months then flogged it to some muppet.

Then I bought a Fiat Seicento Sporting in black - Which again I've drove it like i stole it for 2 and a half years - now i need to find another muppet and a cheap '05 plate Suzuki Swift!

Thank you :) Never thought I'd ever be able to drive but I had a great instructor - I literally *just* passed. The examiner gave me a stern talking to! I was crying so much my instructor thought I'd failed

The only car i potentially have access to is my mum's Audi A3 - I've no chance of getting anywhere near the wheel of that - it's her baby!

Yes - well done:thumbs:

I passed second time - failed first time cos I didn't see the Mercedes coming towards me as I pulling out :bonk:

Thanks :) I think a lot of it is down to luck - it must be if I passed! Hope your first test wasn't too traumatic!

I passed first time, scared the S*** out of the instructor so badly that he didn't want to risk getting into a car with me again!

I wonder how many of us would pass if we sat the test now? :)

Nice one:thumbs: :D should've kept it and souped it up!!!!

my mum had an a35 in a garage til i was about 10, it was beautiful, i still plan to buy one and put a rover v8 in the back....

Well Guys it was actually quite "rapid" :D with a lightly tuned "sprite" engine ( I took that car apart for fun at week-ends just because it was so easy)
Never did get any sort of "road holding abillity" out of it, but it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about mechanics in the mean time :) )

My first car was the best one I've had, I still miss it.....:'(

My first car was a C reg vauxhaul nova 1.2 merit in china blue. Pretty good for a first car. cost me £300 to buy and lasted 2 years. helped me build up my no claims bonus :)

I passed the test in september 2004, due to insanely high insurance in NI I havnt driven since.

First car (10years ago) was a little Fiat 126 in sick yellow, learnt to drive in it, never got as far as getting a license, got bored and sold it to a friend.. Luckily ive no photos of it as it was a real horror.

My 2nd (and current) car is a Rover Mini Mayfair. I decided to have another bash at this driving lark as now im a little better off than I was 10years ago, so, I bought this toy to play with and im back learning again.

I wonder how many of us would pass if we sat the test now? :)

Probably not many of us - too many bad habits now :embarrassed:

When I move to Canada, I have to take a driving test to get a license in British Columbia  I feel sick just thinking about it :(
