Fireworks - what settings?

^ Looks good to me :)

I need help, this is a carry-on stupid question but how to I get 'infinity focus' or the likes on my 450D. Ive got a bad feeling about going to take firework photos and them being out of focus, how do I get them in focus?!

Cheers!

jaz......to get infinity focus, switch the camera/lens to manual focus, and look through the viewfinder and turn the focus ring until the distance is in focus.when coupled with say,F11.....the fireworks will or should be in focus as above.

i hope this helps........

Thanks a lot Stan, will try to do so when I get to the fireworks.

Now I have to find a shutter release cable, doubt I'll get one delivered for Saturday though! :S :)

Cheers

Thanks, there are very few local shops, maybe 1 that I will be near and then jessops (which I have some vouchers for) and that's probably it, don't think anyone I know will have one to borrow.

Thanks for your input, very useful thanks. :)

I am set to:

F11
Bulb mode
and i'll focus when i get there (dont know how to do infinity mode on d60?)

and i have my camera, 18 - 55 lens, tripod and remote.

The infinity thing raises a good question, none of my lenses seem to 'stop' at infinity on MF. If I whack the dial all the way around till it stops then it's a tad too far. Any tips?

Cheers for the advice guys:clap:
I used F11 for the majority of my photos. I saw another photographer using F6.3 on their Canon so briefly played with lower F's but went back to F11. D80 with Sigma 24-70 2.8 set to infinity and using a tripod and remote. Really pleased with the results, far better than previous attempts:)
One thing i would add to the list is a headtorch for playing with settings in the dark, seemed blindingly obvious once i realised i didn't have it!!!
