The TP 52 - 2025 firewireguy 52 / 2025 - Week 52 (New) and done!

Lovely shot. I prefer the colour version personally, but can see why you’ve gone for mono.

Great capture.

I think others have said it, but some sort of human interaction with it would have been an added bonus. The lighting a cigarette would have been great, or someone blowing out a huge cloud of vape smoke.

Easier said than done though.

Dragon country, nice bit of art

This is much stronger in colour, and more detail comes through, in my eyes. Yes, a person with a cigarette would have been quite an addition

That cigarette idea is great - the shot's lovely without but works be absolutely awesome with it.

Cracking bit of street art!

Great pice of art. Took some time I bet. I bet it did drag on :p

It is amazing some of the street art people can produce.

Great example of graffiti. Both versions look superb!
Thanks everyone. I spent a whole 20 seconds taking it after I parked the car, so pleased it came out alright.

Week 4 - Morning Light

Went for a walk this morning in the local park with a plan in mind knowing the time the sun rises and from what direction.
I got a lot of good shots, so choosing was tricky.
In the end this is the one I've gone with.

A good set, well done for getting up and out - I had a plan, but then my bed was warm.

I set an alarm and everything.
It looked like this morning would be the only clear morning this weekend and weekday mornings aren't good for me, so it was my one chance.

Nice set, the pylon shot is pretty unique, I like how the top cable defines the boundary between the golden and blue sky.

Nice couple of photos - I really like contre jour and your first shot is a cracker.

Graffiti: A lovely piece of art and nicely framed. I like the B/W version the best.

Morning Light: I like the shot of the pylon, though I prefer the one of the trees. The light is lovely.

Good set, think I like the shot of the pylon. Nicely framed, unusual and the sun is not quite so bright in the frame

Nice, really like the golden colours on the fallen leaves in your chosen shot. They’re all good images but for me there’s something special about the middle one of the three :)

Nice set, the second shot really grabs me.

Week 5 - Snappers Choice

There is a photo competition at work going on with the theme of 'reflection' so I just about managed to get out today in the worst light ever to try grab some shots. I'm quite happy with this one, but I'll try find some thing better before the closing date. It'll do as this week's Snapper Choice though.

A really interesting shot, the repeating silver handrails make it look like a multi-exposure. I like it a lot.

Bit bonkers that - I like it :)

A good set of morning light pictures and the reflections, especially in the bottom section in snappers choice are really interesting.

Layers on layers - good luck with the comp! It's the kind of photo I enjoy looking at to see how much I can see.

I like that the top half of the frame looks static and the bottom half looks like an ICM shot.

I agree that it looks like it is multiple exposure, but then again it doesn't - I like it!

Snapper's choice, lots to look at and into into the building, bottom half of picture especially interesting

Sorry just catching up on a brilliant thread of pictures! Beautiful soft tones in the food shot. I think the cold shot is so atmospheric and a little bit haunting, especially considering the total lack of light! I really like the seond morning light shot - it's the lead line from the lit road that makes it for me. And your snapper's choice is a brilliantly abstract relfection.

Thanks. I keep trying to figure it out too.

I hadn't thought of it like that, but it does a bit.

Thanks.
That's an interesting reflection shot with a confusing lower half having many glass layers. Is that a selfie in the middle?
It is a selfie, bit not the most obvious one

Thanks for the very kind words.

I had the snappers choice just as a banker for the reflection theme, but it seems you like it so, maybe it'll be my choice submission.

that an intriguing image, i dont know what I am looking at but its nice and detailed.

Really interesting image, like Wayne above, I not sure what it is.

Also not sure about the bright thing in the lower left?..?

That's a great low key silhouette. I'm fascinated as to what it is - it's beautifully lit whatever it is.

Another one who does not know what it is though I like it and nice lighting. Think the light on the bottom corner adds a bit to the mystery

Nice shot, but I'd have been tempted to crop out that light lower left, but it works for the theme.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The silouette is of a horse shoe shaped wood thing with a metal tree inside it. I think I bought it as a wedding present several years ago. It looks pretty nice in reality. I lit it with a torch resting on something in the background. Was a bit last minute and rushed and ideally I'd do it again with a better background and with more care, but I was using the kitchen table and dinner was about to be served :D
