Hi,

I have been using Firefox for years and been quite happy with it, But recent releases seem to resize images rather than show them at actual size. Which can make pics look soft.

Tried the reset scaling to default with Ctl + 0 All the text resets back to default but any images are displayed at a larger size.
I tried changing a few default settings with the about:config settings the main one seeming to be

browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing set to false (default is true).

This did not seem to make any difference at all.

Anyone else noticed this or know how to fix/work around it.

Cheers

Is this just happening on the forum. I have discovered the same problem since returning to my PC ... pics are alright in MS Edge, but not Firefox.

Click on the far right 'three bar' icon and check at the top what the size is, mine was set at 110% just use the + or - to adjust to 100%.

Had a look and it's not just this forum. It was set to 100% but i've had to reduce it to 80; there must be another setting?

Glad it's not just me, thanks for the replies.

I tried that but it made zero difference to the image size.

I did find this link which explains another setting https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/965904

which if the setting gramps mentioned is set to 100 then the image is shown at the correct size.

Using FF on a couple of different OSs (W8.1 and Linux) and images look fine on TP.

I only noticed this when I uploaded to my gallery (not flickr) and thought the image looks larger than the PS version which I still had open and at 100%. I opened the file from the hard drive in FF and that was scaled the same as in the gallery. I have solved my problem by changing the setting as in #5. Until the next update when no doubt they will change it all again :( :)
