If you have a wide gamut screen that's correctly calibrated, you may want to read this.

I've been trying to explain this to people for ages, but never managed to find a decent link. Basically, only Firefox will not only convert untagged images to sRGB as most browsers do, but also send them to the screen tagged with the monitor's profile. No other browser does this. Simply converting an image to sRGB and then dumping it to a wide gamut screen and ignoring the monitor profile WILL result in over saturated images.
If you care about viewing images on the web accurately with a wide gamut screen (calibrated) then you really should be using Firefox set to "value1" as described in the article.
