Does it install over the top of the previous version?

Just downloaded and installed Firefox 3.6.
Painless process, but I see that Adblock has disappeared.
Google search suggests it is not compatible with V3.6. That's a pity.

What is so good about Google Chrome?

Been using it for a while, but had to do a manual download of the upgrade (I probably have auto update turned off. I tend to do that with programs)

Been out in Beta for a while, but today was the first time I got offered the final version.

Adblock plus 1.1.3 is working on mine, in fact it just updated itself when I started FF to look at your query.

Still prefer IE8 as it starts faster.

When I click on Tools / Add ons I get a message saying Adblock 1.1 is not compatible with Firefox 3.6.
Looks like I need the latest Adblock.

Exif viewer I had does not work either.
 
I've really gone off Firefox - seems to have got slow and bloated - takes ages to start.

Been using FF for years, but now use Chrome (FF 2.20 is still nice and nippy).

As I understand it, IE starts faster because part of it is already started when Windows itself starts up. Hence that's why it's starts slightly faster... It's already loaded into memory. I believe there is an option in Firefox somewhere that starts it up in the same way that Windows does with IE8. It's either an option, or an Add-on.

I am sure I saw something to that effect, but I cannot find it again.
It may involve making Firefox the default browser, but I think that will give me problems since my ISP (Virgin) uses a modified IE8 when I first connect to the internet.
Maybe not - I'll try making Firefox the default browser and see what happens.
