As there appears not to have been any follow-up to the post about this in May last year @Kimbui , can you please offer an update rather than just another call for participation?

Please let me know if you have any questions about the project, looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Kim
Hi Kim, what is the nature of the research? Happy to help but I don’t want to waste yours or my time if whatever it is you’re researching isn’t something I can help you with.

You write this,
“Welcome anyone who works or passionate with Fine Art to join our research study”

But actually it’s only open to people with a degree - lots of us have experience, just not a degree…,

and there are others of us with collections of degrees even if not in fine art, but if my question about follow-up to last year's request isn't answered then I think we'll treat this as spam

"What involved" is enough for me to be a non-participant - although my lack of degree disqualifies me anyway!

Hi Lindsay, appreciate your feedback. Sorry I was trying to get the hang of it, I did realise that that can update the post and wanted to delete the new post but I couldn't figure out how to hence that's why there 2 posts. Let me try again, thank you.

As regards the need for a degree, as this is coming from the marketing department they may well be restricting it to people already with degrees (most likely customers) or people who can provide feedback on an existing Masters in fine art.

Why do you need a degree to be a "Fine Artist"?
Hi Eucris,

We are welcome to any degrees, hence a Fine Art degree isn't required — we are looking for anyone has been practising Fine Art for a period of time. We'd love to hear about the projects you've worked on, so please feel free to share details about your practice and experience when you sign up. We'll review your response and be in touch to confirm your participation.

I hope this helps and Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Andy, thanks for your message. The goal is to gather qualitative insights before the online MA Fine Art programme is built, we would like to understand what prospective students actually want from an online MA Fine Art so UAL can design a programme that genuinely reflect market demand. I hope this helps.

Hi Mark, thanks a lot for your feedback.
We have been reviewed the process and can confirm that it will be open for those who have non academic background as well. As long as you share your practice and experiences (as much as you can) when you sign up. We'll review your response and be in touch to confirm your participation. Thank you.

You have NOT answered my question. Why do you need a degree to be able to create "Fine Art".

I CANNOT sign up as I don't have a degree of any description. However, I do have a CSE in sums, is that acceptable?

I suggested an answer, before the stream of posts from @Kimbui in my earlier post

As an aside, where is it suggested you need a degree to "create" fine art ?

EDIT I see that my suggestion seems to be supported by the post here
