I'm new here to-day so this may be in the wrong forum.

I would like to post photos into my web site but i would also like to add the photographers name to the photo.

Is there any program or method that i can find out who took the photos that i find on the web.

Before posting anything you'll need the permission of the photographer.

If the photo's are already hosted properly you should be able to find the owners details easily. Where can you see pictures without the owners details?

Okay not necessarily to answer his question but kind of a pole how many of you photographers take the time to go into file info on the photo (in Adobe and like programs) and fill out the copyright, contact info, photographer, and studio name? Part 2 and does where you are posting decide whether or not you do this... As in your own website no but Flickr Twitter deviantART yes?

Lightroom does mine by default on export.

No time needed.. it gets embedded by the camera itself before i even download a pic :)

Most people who copy pics like the OP would know where to look for the copyright info anyway..

At least the OP is asking and making an effort... he will get educated through the replies and then know whats what... 99% of other people taking the pics wont even try.

I've tried doing it on my camera... Would absolutely love it but not sure it's possible and it was purchased on eBay so I didn't get the tools disc ( it's a canon 20d ) any info regarding that would be greatly appreciated

no idea if you can do it with a 20d .. you need to run eos utils and be wired up.. usb camera to laptop..

I downloaded a canon eos utility and couldn't get most of it to cooperate is there earlier versions maybe it's a compatability issue

Thanks for that, never used the EOS doodah before.

Works on 30D and the Brownie:)
