Yes
I've had a Nokia "brick" I think is the technical term, for about 20 million years now and I think its time to upgrade.

I have only got £15 a month for a contract which limits the phones I can get free.

One of them though, is a Sony Ericcson K something or other Walkman phone. I quite like the idea of this as I can listen to music while I'm cycling to work.

Is there anything else out there I should be looking at ?

Camera might be nice, but not essential.

Dont want nothing flimsy.

I used to quite like the Sony Ericsson phones but after seeing so many friends having theirs either overheat, freeze constantly or lose data from the memory card it's put me off them.

I'd recommend staying with Nokia and picking one of their handsets. I recently went back to them with my new contract when I picked the N95 8GB. Either that or look at Samsung, their handsets are usually pretty good build quality.

I used to have a Sony Ericsson K800, I believe the K ones are more optimised for taking pictures, whereas the W ones are more optimised as Walkman phones.

Any of the Nokia S60 phones are good (EXX or NXX) too.

do you think riding a bike while listening to music is a good idea, you might not hear those taxi tyres screeching behind you

Or the white van men :D

NOT SONY.. seriously i swear every phone i had from them used to randomly switch off Nokias are pretty good :) I have the N95

Its mostly canal paths on my way. 10% is roads, and even then, theres a wide cycle lane !

In honesty, its very quiet on the roads !

i can definately recommend Nokia n95 for versatility and functions, it is the best phone I have ever had.

For music the best Nokia is the N91:woot:And its a stainless steel phone so it can take the knocks

Thanks for the suggestions fellas, but none of these phones are available on a £15/month tariff...

I've gone for a Sony ericson W910i

1gb memory for tunes and a large screen for viewing.
