I dumped my standard lens I got with my Nikon D50 that I got a year ago!!!

I was under the impression that the pictures I was getting were good.

Just got my 18-70mm AF-S DX Lens delivered and a Sigma 105mm Macro lens. I have to say the difference is unbelievable.

Wont get to test them properly till the weekend but with the test shots I took you can tell the difference.

There is one problem, when trying to take pictures in aperture priority mode and using the F-Spot on the Sigma lens it doesn't seem to want to take pictures. I just get fEE flashing up on the camera where it should show the F-Spot. Anyone know how to rectify this?

I've now seen the light and wont be going back to my old standard lens anyway

Is there an aperture ring on the 105? It needs to be on smallest f-number for auto aperture setting.

Good purchases mate.

On my old Sigma 70-300 you could lock the aperture ring in place at f/22 then the D50 does all the work after that.
