Bought myself a new camera today :D

Thanks to all who offered their advice :thumbs: really appreciated and helpful!!

After spending nearly an hour in the shop walking back and forth between the Sony A35 and Canon 550D and having four sales assistants ask if i was ok, i finally chose.............

The Sony A35!! Really liked the size and feel of it and liked the EVF!!

Soo excited, just charging the battery and reading the manual now!! Cant wait to start taking pictures and putting them on up here for critique!

Good man. I rarely visit camera shops but when I've played with the Sonys, I'm impressed with how nice they are to use - I love the button-led layout of Nikons and the utilitarian feel of them, but those Sonys have something good about them. Is the EVF as good as a 'real' viewfinder?

Regarding the viewfinder i really couldnt tell much difference between the Canon and Sony!! It was really clear when viewing on the screen as well and i didnt notice any lag either!!
 
Firstly, congrats on your new purchase, the new Sony bodies do look very nice :clap:

Thats interesting and good to hear, this appears to be the possible issue for some people - there seems mixed reviews about the EVF
