A different hood for my 17-40L
The supplied hood EW83-E was next to useless on the lens when it's mounted on the 20d, so after a bit of mooching round I got hold of the EW83-G :thumb:
The pettles are much longer than the original hood and today I took it out in the snow, with the sun low in the sky I noticed a distinct lack of flare
If you have the 17-40L and a cropped sensor body, I would strongly recommend this hood. And you can even reverse it on the lens when you put the lens back in the bag. Thats something that was almost impossible to do with the original hood, unless you wanted to leave everything else on the floor.
Mine came to me via Matty as I don't have an ebay account, took less than a week to get here from HK
