I've been wanting to upgrade my K100D for a while now and was looking at getting a K10D. The wife and I had a trip to Bass & Bligh in Skipton today, I thought it wise not to go on my own with a functional debit card. :)

They didn't have any K10s but had the K200 and K20, had a look at the K200, was a really nice piece of kit but really wanted the quick access functions of the K10 body, explained this to the nice man in the shop and was about to be on our way when my wonderful, gorgeous wife says "wouldn't you be better with K20?" :eek:

So once I had picked myself up off the floor, explained the price differences she replied "life's too short, you only live once". :love:

So to cut a long story short, I am the proud partner of a fantastic lady and the proud owner of a Pentax K20D which is an absolute beast! :woot::woot::woot::naughty:

Sorry for rambling on, had to share the story. :)

I do like reading stories of people who DON'T buy Canon or Nikons.

Thanks Andy, I have used Pentax since I got my A3000 35mm, I considered moving over to Nikon but I just like the Pentax kit too much I guess. I hope the rain moves off so i can get out and play tomorrow. :)
 
Sounds like a great day out. I'd love to get some play time with one of these new P's. Really seems like Pentax are on the up again.


..... and I hope you'll still be remembering to tell your wife she's wonderful and gorgeous when the novelty of the new toy has worn off. ;)

Oh yes, she is loved very much. :)

Pentax do seem to be making an effort recently, it is nice to see. :)
 
It's the photographer that makes the difference



(but I tell my wife it's the lenses... :D )

Nice lads at that shop, fair and helpfull, my wife has the same out look of life, most of the time.:thumbs:

Jut a thought, though, last time Mr JG (who is also fantastic :love: ) said to go ahead and spend heaps of money on kit he followed it up with getting into this tog lark as well. So now we find ourselves sharing more than we've ever shared before.... :eek:

Are you enjoying sharing your hobby Jean? My wife started playing with the K100 yesterday and is thinking of taking up photography now too. I quite like the idea togging together. :)
 
I've had a GX10 (Samsung version of K10) for almost a year now and it's a great camera, if I had the money would definitely make the upgrade.

I've just bought a GX10, upgrading from my GX-1S.. can't wait for it to arrive.. hope the IS is as good as they say !
 
Would your wife like to buy me that 600mm lens Nikon make.

It's only a few k
