Hi sorry newbie question are the filters for the lens universal i.e canon Nikon same thread I need a 52mm filter is that all I need 2 know
 
Thanks for that is there difference in quality of filter I'm looking for a polarising filter
 
With filters you get what you pay for, best advice is to spend as much as you can spare as cheap filters are worse than worthless.

There's plenty of makes out there to check up on. I cant comment on Hoya or B+W but I've used the Heliopan 77mm screw on filter which was excellent and only changed to the newer Lee 105mm to reduce vignette on my wide angle lens.
