Im currently using a Canon400D with a Sigma 17-70 Lens (72mm) Can someone reccomend me some filters to be using. Its a general walkabout lens so i guess lens' for most occasions would be cool.

Thanks!

A UV filter to protect the front element is advisable as a filter is much cheaper to replace than glass.
If you shoot a lot of landscapes then a set of ND grad filters is also advisable - a circular polarising filter is a good investment too imho to intensify skies & cut down on reflections.
All down to personal preference, subject & shooting style

As ND grads can get rather specialised, for general walkabout I'd recommend a UV filter with maybe a circular polarising one to add "pop" to your images

UV or skylight filter is a definite. They've saved me some very expensive repairs. Cheap (relatively) to replace as well.

Give the lens front element a good clean before you put it on, and don't forget the filters rear surface as well.

Hop on over to Onestop-digital. i get all my filters there. pretty much the same price as on ebay but at least you know you are getting the real deal.
