Just ordered some 85mm nd/grad filters (for cokin p holder) to go along with the nd grad and sunset filters I have at the moment. I previously bought the cokin kit http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/27162/show.html as a starter which came with a box for the sunset filter but unfortunately the hitech nd grad doesnt fit in length wise. I find putting the one i have at the moment in and out of the sleve a bit of a pain compared to the box. Box is definately easier and quicker to access.

What do people use to store their filters. Do you keep them individually in their plastic covers/sleves? Or is it better/more accessible to store them in a filter wallet out of their sleves. Would they be more prone to scratching when stored together in a wallet out of their sleves? Are there larger "filter boxes" available?

If looking at a wallet I see cokin do one www.amazon.co.uk/Cokin-P306-Wallet-P-Filters/dp/B0006ZSQF0 and hitech do one http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/p-hitech-multi-filter-pouch-85mm-.htm

how do you recommend i should store them as would like to have realively easy access to them? Any recomendations welcomed.

I Have the Hi-Tech pouch and its very nice!

Filters fit snugly and are protected well. Price is a bit high but I couldn't find anything of similar quality for cheaper.

Just my thoughts :)

cd wallet is a clever idea. sure i have one in the house somewhere i will try.

I have been just keeping them in their plastic sleeves (although with the 150x100 filters then kept in the pouch/wallet that the lee filter holder came in).

However, I haven't really felt comfortable with this, and this thread made me think to search for wallets, seems that both Hitech and Lee do 150x100 wallets for 150x100 and 100x100 filters, with Hitech's being about £21 for 6 filter pouches and Lee's being £31 for 10 pouches.

They're both fairly confining for the price, but I'd argue that the Lee one is the better value of the two given that it's nearly double the pouches for 1/3 more.

I'm still not sold on either though, I have 8 100mm filters and only having expansion room for 2 more doesn't seem very future-friendly, even worse if I choose to store my CPLs in the wallet too (although Hoya's plastic hardshells are good enough for those)..
