I'm looking for some advice on which filter size to go for.
At the minute I'm using a cheap set in a cokin P series holder, but I'm wanting to upgrade to a better quality set.
The lenses I have for land/seascape are tamron 17-50 (non VC) and sigma 10-20.
If I'm going to up-grade would I be better off going to 100mm filters and holder ?
Thanks

Open to suggestions for land/seascape photos ?
I was thinking of a reverse grad for sunrise seascapes ? and either soft or hard edge ND for landscape but I'm still taking advice so all advice is welcome.

Hi, JMO here but I have the Lee hard and soft grads from 0.3 to 0.9 and to be honest the 0.3 hardly if ever see the time of day and with what can now be achieved in PP the others seem to get less use, in saying that the one filter I would not be without is the CP.

Yes, circular polariser is almost essential though it is sometimes over used or over done.
I concur with russell in that 0.3 gets little use, if you can afford it go for Lee, I never regretted it even though I use them less these days, the thing with the 100mm ND hard grads is you can pull them down and use them as un-graduated ND's thus saving a few quid.
A 6 stop and a 10 stop may be worth considering if you want to go for the long exposure look.

I get by easily enough with a Lee set up & a 0.6 HE grad - Yes it may be £175 or so but worthwhile if it's going to get used & give you decent results :) A 3 stop or 10 stop may be worthwhile if you shoot coastal & want some water movement or cloud movement [10 stop]

I do have a CPL but rarely use it as it gives uneven skies at times when shooting very wide.
