Beginner Filter choice

Does anyone know anything about the hybrid 'Hoya HRT Digital Circular Polariser & UV Camera Lens Filter'? I am torn between getting one of them or a 'normal' Tiffin Polariser. They are both about £44 each. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds completely pointless. Uv filters don't have any positive effect on digital, they only serve to protect the lens, which in its self is arguable. If you want a polariser, get a polariser.

Agree with Tom, I have only used a UV filter where debris might be in the air. eg, beach, for me it was just a protective filter rather than anything to help images.
