Films/TV that were very cleverly written

'Citizen Kane' - it really doesn't give away what 'Rosebud' is right until the very end.

Dexter has been my favourite series since it began. I don't want it to end. But there's only so far they can take it.

LOVE Dexter, and one of the few examples where the show is better than the books, imo.
There was a fab comedy series years ago, Joking Apart. It was brilliantly written.

Usual Suspects for me - with the Verbal Kint/Keyser Soze twist...

Not sure about Inception. I felt it was a bit of a one trick pony - enjoyable though.

Agree with the Usual Suspects, utterly brilliant film but Inception left me cold, I got bored and turned it off.

Have just watched an incredible film called "Cloud Atlas" where six stories in different times are all woven together.

Stellar cast and the screenplay is by the Wachowskis (The Matrix, V for Vendetta).

A bit like the "French Lieutenant's Woman" but much more richly layered and complex, with a beautiful musical score which is also part of the story.
