This looks interesting, some of you may already be using it. I think I will give it a try when I get a moment to set up:

I do from time to ime forget which film is in which camera!

Good spot Adrian, If I can be organised enough to use it it looks like a very useful tool.

Thanks for the info.....but I still put the type of film from the packet into the holder on the back of the camera, also always use a bit of paper to write down what camera, lens, film etc....this info also goes onto the folder containing the negs and CD in numbered sequence in a row...h'mm and not only that, but I copy the jpg's to my computer (of course indexed the same number as the folders)......so if I see an old image on my computer I can go to the folder to select the neg.....and not only that, take backups of the jpg's on my computer.
So anyone beat that :)

Brian, that is very organised and impressive. I guess the purpose of Apps like the one in the link is to try and get more of us thinking like you already do:)

Well Adrian I only do this as on a lens forum they want to know details H'mm but being in a minority of a film user they are probably not interested :suspect: Otherwise I wouldn't bother with a lot of detail as after all it's the end result that counts to most people.

The only reason I am thinking of starting to record what setting I have used is because of the manual nature of the TLR I have and my lack of MF experience.

I don't bother with doing it on the 35mm, as I can generally guess what the aperture was as I am used to it now (and I don't care about shutter speed).

Like Brian, I put the details in the holder on the rear door of the camera ( if possible), either from the film packet or simply a piece of card, in addition i have a list ( somewhere!! lol) with all the cameras I have loaded with film staing film type and date it was loaded.

Any real world feedback from any of the F&C regulars yet?

I've got a pretty tried and tested system of ensuring every camera/back is labelled if loaded, and I have the dates/emulsion/camera noted in a word document and folder (which will, once developed/scanned, contains the scans). It's not especially modern, but it's simple and effective.
