hi all i had 2 films put onto cd today and i must say the quality was awful ....
they were straight from 35mm film onto a cd i was expecting the shots to be at least half decent....
has anyone else had any done in the past ...??? if so were you happy with the results ....
all information welcome..

We did it with the wedding photos people took on 35mm, the quality was terrible, the service was terrible, the shops moaned and complained about doing it as it was a real bind apparently, we went to pick them up on the date they said they would be done and they hadn't even started them because they were busy, quality control wasn't in place as some pictures were half and half and you could see the neg split between the two frames.

Rubbish it is.

what do you think the alternative is get my films processed then scanned into the comp,, only problem with that will i lose quality:thinking:

if you scan them in at a fairly decent dpi then you'll get a much better result than the straight scan they do from the negs (daft isn't it). Depends how big you're going to want to print them out once you're done.

we used click and asda I think. A lot of the other places said they didn't do them. Never thought to try colab :bonk:

used a local shop for locals as i live in the dark ages here on the welsh border.. ive got 8 films left to get proccessed so i might try colab ..
only hope i can get them done well as the subject i shot was a one off..:bang:
