Well done Mark, a lovely selection of images
Mark, that cannot have been an easy job to undertake, a wonderful selection of photograph,s just brilliant. Well done to you and a big thank you.
Just felt guilty, not keeping up with things... I've spent so little time on TP, let alone in F&C that I'm feeling like I've got the green badge under false pretences... I'm guessing if I hadn't been so slack for the couple of weeks prior to the hiatus, people would have continued to keep nominating - as there was no sight of anything happening, obviously, people think "why bother if that lazy arse can't..." and it all drys up.
Wasn't difficult at all - I just back-tracked on the "Show Us..." thread to the point of the last entry, and scrolled down until something gob-smacked me. So, owing to my own personal preferences, there's lots of still lifes and landscapes, and very few if any people shots... I've also sort of stayed clear of obvious "archive dredging" stuff - even though some of it was great in its own right and triggered memories, but it's not the "new work" I actually like to try and promote on that thread.
Truth be told, I've had something of a major change in circumstances since starting the thread, and, well - frankly, I've gone from a "full time carer" for someone who needed 24-7 assistance (so I was basically pretty much tied to the house myself) to trying to earn a crust and keep a roof over my head since the loss of my Dad a while ago. So, while I still don't get enough time to myself to actually go out and take photo's - I'm not around the house or at the computer for 10 hours a day either, and frankly, my time on TP has had to be curtailed, and more focussed on actually doing the job I was enlisted to do - i.e. help with the smooth running of the forum (and not "putting upon" my fellow mods)... to the detriment perhaps, of spending time in F&C enjoying everyone's company - that's the downside of this being the (generally) better behaved bit of the forum I guess...
