The theme is "Shadows".

The sun is out at last and there are strong shadows everywhere, so get out there before this freaky British summer disappears and is replaced by the normal dull grey flat sky.


Shoot it on film

B&W or Colour.

Challenge starts now and finishes 23:59 Sunday 4th August 2013

Please keep all discussion on this thread, the entries to be posted here

Probably not much point in having this open for more than a week, what are the odds of getting the sun after tomorrow... :-D

Righty-ho, I've got shadowy 35mm b&W from the France holiday at the developers and I'm off out with the M645 1000S with some B&W fillum. Here I come!!!

Just seen it, well done Norters was discussing exactly that shot with Compulsive Horder tonight, I have one which I will use if my other planned shots don't come to fruition.
 
Changed my shot... dithered back and forth but eventually decided to. I've done this a few times so far and it hasn't helped much with the result!
 
Unlike Chris, I won't be doing any changing of shot ...took me all my time to get something to enter.
 
Well I reckon there should be an extension because of holidays...and h'mm I haven't finished the film up yet :)
I've two cameras loaded with 36exp and have run out of subjects to shoot :(

Closing date this Sunday? Blimey, I'd better pull my finger out and scan the negs where I shot what I thought could be my entry! They've only been sat next to the scanner for a fortnight now... :whistling:
 
Sunday Huh...Oh well that stops me entering this month (even though I have taken some shadow shots) as I still have two rolls to finish and anyway Asda won't do them while you wait at the weekend :(

That's a good idea :thumbs: if everyone doesn't mind.....and it would be just my luck if there is something wrong with my shots, as I'm testing a X-700 with Lloyds film bought at the bootie and the shots are on that camera :shrug: :wave:

:thumbs: How long are you extending it to Nick? As I should have my films dev monday or tues this coming week, depending on the weather for my 8 mile bus ride to Slough :lol:

Dropped in on this thread yesterday and decided to enter. Found a shadow and took the shot. Developed this morning with a view to scan later.
Now I find I've got another week....do I search for a better shadow...decisions...

Up to you Trevor, it seemed a few folk had been too busy to get a shot so I thought it worth extending a little.

If you've got a cracker in mind just go out and do it.

So ahem, Andy, was that shot taken after the contest started by any chance? looks awfu' like one we saw earlier in the year... :thinking::razz::p:D

I can't believe you haven't got something from Canadia you can enter.
 
Nope nothing, all sunsets and mountains not a shadow to be seen.

I have got a roll of b&w that needs developing and I think there is a shot on that roll that might work.
