No, they're light tight themselves so just keep the dark slides loaded and put them in your bag.Whats the best way to transport these ?
Do I need a lightproof box or anything to put them all in?
They look a bit like repurposed covers for tablet computers. You can buy something like these...
I am concerned Kevin because on one holder the loading flap hinge is starting to come away from the door, It looks like its only flipping duck tape! You can buy something like these:

They are not light tight, and if your film holders are in good condition they don't need to be. If the holders are not in good condition, these pouches probably won't help.
I have a couple, but never use them.
Will they be light tight do you think? They look a bit like repurposed covers for tablet computers.
That sounds great, an old school leather satchel.Back when I were a lad, they got carried around in oblong leather boxes with shoulder straps.
The posh boxes had slots built into them but ours were just plain boxes and we used to fold up the focussing cloth and use it to pad the dark slides.
I had not noticed the little pins Nige, thanks! They should have a locking mechanism - a thin metal rod with a 90° bend at the end - that you turn to prevent the dark slides from inadvertently coming out.
If the holder isn’t light tight it doesn’t matter if the bag is. You have to take the holder out of the bag to load it and your film will be impacted as soon as you do.Will they be light tight do you think?
Ziplock bags from the supermarket are useful, especially for storing loaded darkslides in the fridge.
