Film Developer - URGENT HELP NEEDED!

How the hell do you get the smell off your fingers!!!!! I've tried everything!!!

It stinks and I also forgot to put the vent on, so i've also got a really bad headache and sore eyes!


Pah! I suppose thats what you get for not going in a darkroom for more than 6 months!

Any help on the smell situation would be very much appreciated!!

You could roll around in cow poo, that's what my dog used to do to cover up it's smell.

Suppose its worth a shot... :shrug: The local farmer made a new heap of it down the road the other day too... Its relatively normal to see a local rolling in it!

Wear some rubber gloves next time?

I don't use gloves, but then again I don't mind the smell - very faint once washed off with hot water and washing up liquid...

Thats a good idea... I personally love the smell, however the rest of the family don't!

I also find a good wash with washing up liquid gets rid of the smell. I do try and avoid too much skin contact with chemicals though, I learned the hard way a few years ago when too much skin contact over several days left my finger tips dry cracked and bleeding.

You wouldn't believe how disabling a small injury like that can be, I had problems doing just about everything in day to day life!
