I'm heading to Portugal in a month and have just bought myself a Sea & Sea MX-10 35mm camera with YS-40A external strobe. I plan to use this in the pool with my kids and maybe out in the sea.. nothing serious just more for fun. The camera has settings for ISO100 or ISO400 film.. Are there any film types that will suit underwater tones etc more than others? If so, where do I get these? I normally just buy cheapo ISO200 films from poundland for playing with my F-801.. I will just get the films developed and burnt to CD at Tesco or the like..

It uses a 1/100 shutter speed and has a fixed focus..

Thanks

i think for my my elcheapo action sampler underwater case n camera they recommended iso 400 for underwater

ive not used it underwater :x, and only just started to use film again, plus my tightness means anything cheap xD

Try the Agfa stuff out Poundland. If you have a chance, Maybe try and get some time underwater with it? Iso 200 should be okay for pools providing the light is bright enough.
Mind me asking how much you paid for the camera and where from? I'm contemplating one for Egypt in August.

I ran a Agfa ISO 200 through it just to see if it worked, haven't developed it yet though. If running 200 through it, what should my ISO be, 100 or 400? Got it off ebay for £5 + £10 postage.. fully boxed with batteries, spare o-rings and grease etc..

To be honest it'll be the same considerations as on land, although faster films are probably a better bet.

I've used quite a few reload-able but basic underwater cameras and they come pre loaded and recommend 800ASA.
