Film Challenge 38 - 'SUBURBIA' - Discussion Thread.

@Yv re your comment on your entry in the other thread I wouldn't worry too much yet about the lack of entries, there's over a week to go and that's a lifetime in fusty & crusty land.

And this way she's a winner again so has to set the next challenge! ;)

Since when has a "normal" film challenge actually finished on the stated date ? Every time I've looked in, they've over-run by days, sometimes weeks!

Time has no meaning here.... We travel through and beyond normal human time scales.

I went to the Doctor's yesterday, and he informed me after looking at the last raft of tests that I have he heart of a 35 year old and the lungs of someone 22... Sounded like a singularly unappetising mixed grill to me, but I wish i'd had the presence of mind to show him a couple of photo's on my phone to prove that I've got the skulls of a couple of people well into their second century PMSL

:D ..and filmies depend on the weather at convenient times and to get the film dev etc.... to a set deadline ;) hmm looks like not much sunshine at a convenient time for the next week (in the London area).

Now what have we told you about storing peoples bodily organs at your gaff....? Bury them in the forest, its safer. :D

Well that's good news if you are older than 35, but I was told something similar once and then sorta went downhill :(

it's not bad for a bloke of 52, who only 3 years ago was something like 85kg overweight Brian ;)

Well Mark try at keep fit and eat the right foods, but for me, roughly around the age of 68 I seem to go downhill slightly and in the 70s seems to accelerate and I'm trying to slow it down with the help of the common pills that are prescribed.

oh, when I'm not crocked (like at the moment) I'm fit enough Brian - probably 6-8000 miles a year on the pushbike tends to do that for you..

Oh forgot...advice from an olden to a young-en. Keep a watch on bad cholesterol as it can\could be a killer in quite a lot of people.

Oh, who forgot to call "no Iceland"! My shot is potentially very similar just on a slightly different scale. Bah! :)

I dunno, Gareth might have had the decency to wait a bit before putting in the winning shot...:bat::clap::exit:

Well if the forecasters are right then Thurs (at least for the SE esp London area)...is going to be great for shots as it's going to be 15 degrees with plenty of times when the sun is out. So maybe it would be helpful if the end of the challenge is extended a bit for stragglers.

Haha. Sorry. Just thought it would be something a bit different. I had a couple to choose from but went with that.

:) Not sure it's that good but thanks for the kind words.

Calling Hofn "urban" is a bit of a stretch BUT it's the largest settlement for a few hours drive in any direction so counts!

Alow me to speak for the group.

"Can we have an extension, I've got my shot* but not finished the roll."

*probably, honest.

"Can we have an extension, I've got my shot* but not finished the roll."

Yes please!

It's not that hard to take a photo that fits the theme. It runs out to be really really hard to take a good photo that fits the theme! I've just finished a roll that will be sent off for processing tomorrow, but we're going away and I don't want to pay Peak's outrageous scanning costs, so it may take a while.

TBH, I doubt I'll get a decent shot since inspiration seems to have deserted me, so don't hold up on my account, but please do for the others...

I finally managed to get something that vaguely fits.....

Don't wait on me; I've still got to finish the roll and it'll be next week before I can soup and scan it as I'm away all weekend.

I got nothing. I had a vague idea about next door's nicely clipped tree but that is far as it went!

Might have something else in the 3.5 exposed films waiting to be sent off to Peak, but they won't get back until next week, so I've stuck something up to fill out the back end!

That went well then :)

E2A: I hopefully have a shot to post, just needs deving :p

Right, about to go out now, should I add poll tonight or wait for you deving slackers? :D
Mine won't be dry enough to scan as I'm just about to soup it now.
Deadlines pfft :brb:

I've got nothing I'm afraid :(

Does that mean I'm allowed another Sunday lunch?

Well that didn't go to plan :( I think my dev is spent.
The whole roll ruined.
Don't mind me as you were :coat:
