Hi,

I have not bought any film for a while and looking through a couple of threads has resurrected my interest.
Could anyone recommend a good supplier?
I am looking for B+W with a good match up for Nikon Glass on an F2 so suggestions would be most welcome
 
I tend to get most of mine from Analogue Wonderland now, although I have a large stock in the fridge-freezer so haven't bought much recently.
 
Try Ilford HP5 - good price, good results and easy to develop. Do a search for best price, but expect to buy a few to cover p&p.

Amazon may surprise you occasionally if you have Prime membership . . .

+1 for HP5.

You can shoot it from 200 to 3200. Nothing worse than loading inflexible 100 speed film and then every photo op you have is in poor light. Load HP5, rate it at 800, then when you get it developed tell them it's been pushed one stop. Depending on your lens you should be good for inside the house and outside on anything but a very bright day.
 
If you intend to have it processed commercially, it would be worthwhile trying Ilford XP2 as a b&w film that is developed by the cheaper C41 colour process. It's also very flexible around its nominal 400iso for exposure latitude.

I will go along with Morco. They generally have everything in stock and are noticeably cheaper that some of the Pro outlets.

You could also try Analogue Cameras, (They are based in Oxfordshire) at the moment they have a vast quantity of re-purposed cinefilm which was originally sold as FP4 (Not FP4+) It has to be the cheapest on the market and I have used some rated at iso100 and it is perfectly fine. I compared it with FP4+ and to be honest there is very little in it. You may be able to detect a slight difference in grain compared with FP4+ with big enlargements, (12x16 and over) but honestly there is little worry about. If it was rubbish I would have said so! I found it printed well on Ilford Multigrade at Grade 1.5 or 2.

The downside of it is the extended developing times. (They send you a developing sheet with the film) It is under £4 per 36exp cassette.
