i have a quick question regarding file sizes. I have done a bit of processing in Lightroom (from RAW) with some further edits in Photoshop. When I save to jpeg the file size is between 4 and 5MB. I want to submit them to stock agencies for which 4MB is good enough for some but others want a minimum of 5 or 6MB. My question is, if I use "Image Size" in Photoshop and increase the pixels, will that affect the image? Is there any other way to get a larger file size?

Thank you in advance

Ros

Fuji XT1 and have it set to RAW + jpeg fine. I'm processing the RAW files.

The final file size is determine by the software that
will publish the image.

There are three ways to increase / reduce the final
size in MB or KB:

— the compression or quality
— the resolution it terms of ppi
— file size in terms of dimension.

Yes, "Image Size" will set your final "pixel size" and
"dimension" but the quality will be set as you "save as".

Ros, some require a min 300dpi, too.

Rosaline, please…
never publish a picture at higher res than 108 ppi
unless you have a proper written contract!

When you save the jpeg are you saving at 12 (best quality) ? a lower number will make the filesize smaller.
