file info and cs4

Hi Guys

How do you delete the file info that gets remembered by cs4?

It's doing my pip in now,

It should be image specific shouldn't it?

Do you mean the .xmp files ?

Adjustments made to the image are saved in this file format so the original is not touched.

Sorry for the delay responding....been a tad busy

The info within the xmp I want to remove is the stuff that pops up, things like Copyright blah blah and some of the tags.

hope that makes a little more sense.

2 ways of doing it...

You can either go through every field in PS and delete the individual entries, or download ExifToolGui which will allow you to delete all or some of the metadata sections; ie XMP and IPTC but not Exif etc etc. OPanda can do this, but only in the Pro/Paid version.

The other option is to Save for Web in PS and use the no metadata option, but that strips everything- you can't save the Exif without saving the copyright info.

I know how to fill it it, what I want to do is remove some of the things it's remembered :shrug:

EG i have copyright 2009, 2010 and 2011 entries that pop up not in the relevant box when I press C

Ah, I think that I see what you mean now. You're talking about cached data which tries to auto fill?

When the data pops up scroll, or better yet, key down with the down arrow until you highlight the data that you want to get rid of and the hit delete rather than clicking on it or pressing enter.
