there currently fitting the cables down our street buisness only at moment so we should expect to see it within the next few months

is the router etc we have no going to be the same or are we looking to change router and all exsisting cabling and network gear we have to co inside with the new system

Normally just a router if you use the ISP supplied one.

aslong as it can be used on the old system

also do u actually need a phone line to have fibre optic when it comes to our house was looking to jsut do internet only but get a better package with the money we save from phone line if we can

I believe so, it still comes in via the master socket.

Network compatibility shouldn't be a issue.

FTTC comes into your house via the phone line so someone has you....

They install a different modem and then you need a router to connect to it (the ISP will provide this). Unless you mean cable (as in Virgin Media) which is a different technology.

we can only have the local isp it is god dam annoying i dont need a phone line yet i have to pay for one jsut to have internet its a great big con
