Feeling lost

£20? That's astounding. A band of four members cannot afford more than £5 each? I hope they regard music better than PR. Particularly in such an image driven industry. 'Fraid i'd tell them to take a long walk off a short pier and come back when they were serious.

Pete - you have no reason to feel lost - as long you're enjoying photography then there's no room to feel lost :nono:

i enjoy everything i do - and i think you enjoy your craft too

:)

anyway you haven't photographed Super Lamb Banana yet i don't think!

Oh ya, I love it. A few years ago when I was doing web design it was just me working on computers all day. God, it was so dull. Now I've been published around the world, interviewed and thats all nothing compared to just being out there taking photos. I've also photographed the lamb banana :D Damn hard to get a good photo with its current location though. He needs to go for a walk.

I know! Its just terrible. I decided to focus on commercial because there's people out there willing to pay £400 for my work. I've sold 4 canvas prints this month at £450 each. Its great because I now know I can because I have. Not even HDR shots either ;) So when a group of 5 people say they can't even afford £20 between them for a shoot... c'mon! Not worth my time, not even for my portfolio now I can get press passes for things. That sounds a bit mean as I know how tough things can be but £20. Thats like 2 dvd's.

Pete, I am new to photography and maybe one day I may even make a little money from it.
Since joining this site I have learnt a lot and have loads more to learn, your images that I have seen have been very inspiring to me so far, I don't understand some of them :shrug:and some are not to my taste, however all of them have made me think. I hope you manage to find an area to focus on that will make you happy and bring enjoyment to your work as that is probably one of the most important things in life.
At the end of the day we all have to pay the bills so you may have to do stuff you are not so keen on, however I am sure that you will find your niche and continue to inspire some of us lesser mortals
Thats my tuppence worth anyway, good luck and keep doing what you are clearly good at
