Feeling deflated, no gas

Twist I posted it in the Miscellaneous items thread where I had 5 items for sale, the iMac is in the non photographic thread, dont let him fool you. ;)

I felt a bit that way, Being a Canon guy all my life the end was nigh nothing to buy So I bought a OMD e-mkII its got a silent electronic shutter you know and I love it and it will do for me until Canon make a pro or semi pro EF fitting camera until then they have had the last of my cash .

sure I will still use my canon kit along side the Olympus so have the best of both worlds at the moment .
Rob.

a shiny Df ... in yer dreams ....

Everyone needs to stop chasing the latest equipment and realise that the content far out weighs the camera it was taken with.

Everyone needs a shiny Df wet dream :D occasionally.

I don't know about feeling empty or depressed but I think I've accepted that the biggest limiting factor is me and one thing I could do to get better pictures would be to pay someone to take them for me.

I'm happy with my MFT and Sony gear and with my old manual lenses but one thing I keep lusting after is Voigtlander lenses as I think they look lovely. Other than maybe a Voigtlander lens I can't think of anything I'm likely to buy.

The sc 40 1.4 is a stunner.

I remember thinking the same, was so pleased when I finally received my Ultron, only to find the minimum focusing distance too limiting. At least that cured by Voigtlander lust :D

But you can get the close focusing thingy and there's always cropping. I have no problems cropping to 100% for screen viewing and reasonable sized prints.

I keep looking at them but I don't know if I'll ever buy another. I had a 35mm f2.5 Color Skopar and should never have sold it.

Anyway as this is a thread about not having gas I'll shut up :D

Haha, fair point! My GAS was at zero until Fuji dropped the X-T20 into their refurb store at a silly low price. It appears that my inner gas was merely dormant o_O Time to sell some stuff which I don't use, which is sensible. Unlike GAS!

God, I'm just thinking of buying another camera and now that devil on my shoulder is egging me on. I don't need any more cameras but there is a bargain out there to be had - even though I don't need it. I really struggle with this.

No, no no - go away temptation - leave me alone

It's such a tempting hobby. I've spent absolute fortune on camera gear but still want more!! Filters and a flash, ooh and maybe a 500mm prime!!

Open a bottle of wine. That normally makes purchases a little easier

What happened to your Sony RX10 plans?

I went for 3 years without any GAS for equipment, it's not a problem. What I GAS for is that feeling in my stomach when I take a great shots, it makes me go wow. The moment when the LCD shows what I had inside my head. That's that fuel to the flames, that's what I live for.

Imagine a photo, execute that photo.

Did you sell your Nikon gear? I know the feeling but I'm sure some other desirable will come along soon [emoji4]. You'll have to post some of the results you're getting with your Panasonic [emoji4]

Thanks very much. Hoping to get into the landscape shooting once again now that I've got a fantastic lens. Got some crackers here on holiday but don't have a computer to process them - darn. There's always something missing!!

The only thing I lust after - camera wise - is an argon-filled backpack. That's GAS, isn't it?
