Feeling a bit sorry for myself.....

 its not put me off trying again, but its certainly put me off trying again anytime soon

would appear that I was a bit premature to go reporting that my leg has stopped leaking over everything in sight - the wounds seem to open up again every single time I move :(

Had a new addition to the household today so I've finally got round to checking out the camera today, and I think I've been pretty lucky there too - couple of deep scratches on the screen protector, and a couple of light scratches on the side of the lens. The mud that was cacked all over it has cleaned off just fine and everything seems to be working and reacting just as it should be. In fact, just about the worst thing I can find is that the UV filter off the front of the lens is gone. Kinda quite pleased overall really :D

Oh, and the new addition?

True, with a shallow depth of field and some careful lighting...

Shall we call you lucky now? Sounds like it could`ve been alot worse.

I'm not thinking about how much worse it could have been

still not putting up pics of the blood and gore either

Yikes, bad luck there fella, watch out for the "quite red and warm" I hope you're on some decent antibiotics, deep muscle wounds can be a b****r.
Looks like the new addition could keep you amused for a while, as well as giving safe photo opps!!!

Just think, over the next few years Pip will draw almost as much blood as that stag did but through many more smaller holes! Hope the big holes heal up soon (and cleanly).

Take care.

thanks guys. I seem to be mending quite well, though the wounds to my leg seem to be taking alot longer than I expected. Begining to get very bored though, I had no idea sitting around doing nothing could be quite such hard work!

Seriously, I think you are lucky to be alive. You could have had a lung / heart puncture, and if he attacked you on the ground, your throut could have been ripped open.

Last time I was in your position (I posted here about it), I ran. It was a big mad highland cow, came for me, and I legged it over a fence which was 20 metres away.

My wife pointed and laughed.

You are very lucky to be in the position to sit and tell us about this!

Almost Rest in Pieces!

Gary.

Has anybody heard how the Stag's doing?
:shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:;)
