I collected my new Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8VC from Digital Depot this morning :D
Stuart priced matched the cheapest UK seller and kept me upto date with regard to UK stock.
A faultless service and there is no doubt I will be buying lots of goodies from them over the years.
I really do suggest than when you are shopping around, drop Stuart a line of give him a call.
A lovely shop and very well stocked as well. :thumbs:
 
HC, could you tell us how much you got it for? Am looking for one but can't decide if I should buy now or wait for a bit till it becomes more freely available/price falls.

Also have you tried it out yet? A few mixed reviews over here, not helping my decision making.
 
I've used them before and always had a faultless service so would highly recommend them.

p.s. Stuart do I get any free goodies for giving you good feedback? :P

I paid £405 for it.
Stuart price matched Clifton cameras who are the cheapest in the UK for this lens.
I've been looking for reviews for the Canon version but not found any yet.
All the reviews of the Nikon version I have read have been very positive.
Also have a look on flickr as there is a user group for this lens and there are some stunning photos.
Have a look in the equipment section of this forum as well, we have an ongoing thread about this lens.
So far my indoor results with this lens have pleased me.
For me personally the main use of this lens will be for indoor lowlight shots.
