Can anyone help me ?
I have been asked by my sister to edit a picture of her daughter who sadly died at 13 weeks old, in time for fathers day - no pressure then! She would like a picture of the babie's feet (or just one foot). However I try to isolate the image of a foot from a photograph I simply can't get away from a jagged edge. Obviously I have tried to feather the edge and have tried to use the magic extractor etc but just can't seem to get the end result to look any good!!!!:(

Put it in a layer over a background layer, and then add a layer mask. You can then use a soft-edged brush to brush in the foot - should give you a better result.

If you are still struggling, email me the image and I'll give it a go for you.

Hi

what you need to do is a vignette post the image and I'll do it for you  I understand if you dont want to

or if you have a big image you can email it to me pm me for my email if you want me to do it for you

Sorry to hear of their loss

Ha ha - you might regret the offer !! I should add that the image was taken on a mobile phone. Given the ecircumstances I didn't want to steam in there with my SLR looking like Bavid Dailey. I am pretty new to this photo editing lark so talking about layers is making me all dizzy! I'll give it a go though but might end up taking you up on your offer.

This reply was originally meant for Mark Richardson but thanks also to "just Dave". The baby was born 14 weeks premature so in a way it wasn't a total suprise that she didn't make it.
