Favourite childhood cartoon

The first programme I was banned for watching as a child s
Scott. As an infant I ended up talking like it a lot at School, some say it has come back to haunt me again :D All of the afore mentioned though.

Oh yes rich you and me both. I think most kids who watched it did the same thing. I remember getting shouted at a lot for answering back in class with...
A flibber dibber dobber weeeeed.

Oh I wish I could live it all again.

Wacky Races.

Unequivocably, Tom and Jerry but has to be the Fred Quimby ones.

Wacky races was good though, can still hear Mutley's snigger now. Always good for a pub game trying to remember all the drivers and cars too.
I dont think Id watch wacky races again now but can still watch Tom and Jerry and have a chuckle.

I thought of another one too.....Chorlton and the Wheelies!

Aye, Popeye, Deputy Dawg, Huckelberry Hound, Stingray, Boss Cat:D

Bzzzzt!!! Stingray wasn't a cartoon.

Marine Boy on the other hand was.

Top Cat.

It was only Boss Cat for a short time on the BBC because of a name dispute with a cat food company. When said company went belly up, the BBC bought themselves a shiny new set of Top Cat prints in which the credits hadn't been butchered :)

1. Dangermouse.
2. Bagpuss
Count Duckula (mostly for Jack May as Igor)
The clangers

I have DVDs of Dangermouse and Bagpuss :D

Liked some of the long running series they used to show as well - Ulysses 31, Dogtanian etc.

Loads. I spent a lot of time as a kid watching kids' TV. There used to be awesome cartoons in the afternoons after school. Then there were Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons which all seem to have practically disappeared.

A few months back, I went on a nostalgic trip through 80s cartoon intros and basically cried. Cartoons were so awesome back in the day.

Am currently watching episodes of Conan the Barbarian on youtube.

EDIT: There was an awesome Turtles series in the early noughties which was far better than the 80s version. Ditto for He-Man. Didn't really enjoy the new Thundercats series.

Ulysses 32, Thundercats and Jayce and the wheeled warriors for me

Have Mary, Mungo & Midge not been mentioned?

Has anyone mentioned Ivor the engine?
